Eddie August Schneider (1911-1940)
He set the transcontinental airspeed record for pilots under the age of 21 in 1930. He fought for the Loyalists in the Spanish Civil War in 1937 and he died in a plane crash in 1940 when a Navy pilot clipped the tail of his plane, and his plane crashed.
