Schneider On Last Stage of Flight
Albuquerque, New Mexico; August 18, 1930 (Associated Press) Eddie Schneider, 18-year-old pilot attempting to set a new junior transcontinental flight record, left Albuquerque at 7:40 a.m. (Mountain Standard Time) today for Los Angeles, expecting to finish his flight from New York without another stop. The young flyer landed here at 5:55 am from Anton Chico, New Mexico where he was forced to stop last night because of bad weather. The weather between Albuquerque and Los Angeles was favorable for Schneider's final hop. He hoped to reach Los Angeles by 1 pm (Pacific Standard Time).
